We desire to help men thrive in a spiritual environment of support and encouragement through activities that facilitate a sense of community and common-bond between men on their spiritual journey. Through these events, we strive to support men’s fellowship and spiritual growth.
Activities Throughout the Year
Men’s Bible Study
A gathering of men who study God’s Word Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. We seek to understand how God is asking us to be better husbands, fathers, grandfathers, workers, and friends. This study is open to any man.
Annual Men’s Retreat
Every year we have a retreat where guys come together for an overnight experience of fellowship and spiritual growth. The retreat includes growth sessions, games, free-time, and great food! All men 18 and over are invited and encouraged to sign up for the retreat and be a part of the experience.
Wild Game Dinner
An annual event held every winter where guys gather for a night of stories and food. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish, which may include something prepared from the game harvest that year. Trophies are displayed, awards are given, and a speaker challenges the guys with a devotional thought.
Appalachian Trail Hike
Up for a little more adventure? Every summer guys from the church are invited to a three-day section hike of the Appalachian Trail, truly an intense and fun bonding experience for guys. Each day includes about 8 hours of hiking, and a few hours of camping and relaxing at night under the stars. This trip does require physical exertion; each hiker must be self-sufficient to survive for three days in the wilderness. Typically hikers carry a 50 pound pack for about 8 miles per day.
