Small groups are the place where significant spiritual development occurs, a place to discuss real life and real issues. This is where we celebrate each others’ successes and lift one another up during life’s hardships. It is a place to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
The New Testament gives us a picture of how the early church functioned. This is an awesome picture of how powerful believers become when they gather together in caring communities.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. ~ Acts 2:42-47
Small Groups consist of 4-10 people and meet throughout the area. They are a great place to make friends, study the Bible, pray together, and grow closer to each other and to God. Visitors are welcome at all groups.
We are starting numerous small groups on September 24. Some will meet on Sunday mornings, some Sunday evenings, and some during the week. So whatever your schedule allows, we can find a group for you to join. The groups will meet once a week for eight weeks and focus on the topic of resolving everyday conflicts. You can join by signing up in either of our foyers or by calling the church office. Please join us.
