Welcome to Youth Ministries!
We meet to study the Bible from 9:00-10:00 on Sunday mornings in the Teen Room. We call this Sunday School. We also meet for some games/activities on Sunday evenings with a short devotional. We refer to the Sunday evening gathering as Forge. Which is based on Proverbs 27:17, because we sharpen each other and help each other grow.
We are starting a Wednesday night book study using Jim Cymbala’s book “When God’s People Pray.” This will start on January 10 and run through February 21. We will meet every Wednesday evening, except February 14 (Valentine’s Day), from 6:30-7:30 in the Teen Room. We will watch a video, read some scriptures, discuss both the points from the video, book, and scripture, and then spend some time praying together. Depending upon the response, we may continue with a different book after February 21.
Some important upcoming dates:
January 14 – Fundraising breakfast
Nerf Battle (6:00-7:30)
January 28 – Deadline to sign up for camp (July 9-13 at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA) $60 deposit due
February 11 – Snow Tubing
- Partnering with the family.
- Developing strong spiritual students with strong spiritual relationships outside the home.
- Serving others for Christ in our community and beyond.
The Selinsgrove Church of the Nazarene believes that young people are an integral part of the Church. Our Youth program exists to lead young people into a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and to facilitate their growth as disciples for Christian service.
To develop students who will passionately live for Jesus Christ and change their world.
Develop a firm foundation by digging into the scripture every Sunday morning from 9:00-10:00 in the Forge room downstairs.
